FAQs

Hopefully some of your questions can be answered below. If not, reach out to us with the above form!

  • Can I bring my pet?

Yes you can. Just make sure they do not go on any furniture such as the lounge suite and beds, they are toilet-trained, you clean up after them, and you are with them if they are outside.

  • Do I need to supply my own linen and towels?

No way Jose! We provide all linen and towels. It is a luxury weekend away, we have got you sorted.

  • How far are you to Healesville town?

We are 4km into town, a short 5 minute drive. For those who love a stroll, it is a beautiful walk. Be mindful we are on a mountain, Mt Rael. A brisk walk into town takes approx. 45 minutes and is easy (downhill). Coming home is approx. 1hr with the last 15mins an incline.

  • What food staples are provided in the kitchen?

Salt, pepper, olive oil, oliver oil spray, vegemite, peanut butter, honey, tea, instant coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, plus a pack of Espresso pods for the coffee machine.

  • What utensils/cookware do you have in the Kitchen?

LOTS! We have heaps of cutlery, tableware, cookware, pots, pans, oven, induction cooktop, air fryer, microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, 4-burner BBQ, BBQ equipmment, oven trays, platters, salad bowls, steak knives, foil, glad wrap, baking paper, and from August 2025, a Gozney XL Arc Pizza Oven.

If there is anything you require that is not listed, shoot us an email to ask. I reckon we'll have it. If we don;t and we like the idea of having it, we will probably buy it for you!

  • Do you have any baby equipment to save me bringing it?

We have a Baby Bjorn travel cot, bumbo multi seat and a toddler booster chair available at the house.

  • Can I get married at Killawarra House?

No. Our house is very popular for brides and/or grooms, bridal parties, bridesmaids, groomsmen to stay out and espeically popular for wedding photograpghy, but ceremonies and wedding receptions are not available at Killawarra House. We were voted in the top 5 Yarra Valley accommodations for wedding photograghy. See Guests/Reviews for examples.

  • It looks a windy road up to your place. Is it safe to drive?

Yes, it is perfectly safe to drive, Remember, otehr people live up this mountain. Any stanard car is fine, just take your time the first time as it is a dirt road and maybe unfamilar to you. A 12-seater mini bus can also get up there but we DO NOT recommend limosuines or 50+ seat coaches; they are too big.

  • We want to organise something really fun and memorable for our group to celebrate during our stay? What should we do?

Yarra Valley X have so many exciitng experiences and specialise in private groups to make your tour even more memorable. They can tailor something to your Group's needs or you can browse their website for their offering,

It could be a Winery tour, an e-Bike tour, white water rafting, a long lunch, clay shooting, paintball, horse riding, cooking class + much more!

Remember to contact them (or us) directly and you will be offered a 10% discount on all Group bookings as guests of Killawarra House.
